Through the course of understand fashion production, cost, time, and materials have come together to form a product. As seen on the left this is my mock up to the final product on the right. Above is the expenditures required for the assignment as well as the time it took to create the bag. However I had most of the supply already, thanks to garage sales! Currently I'm taking the Parsons and Teen Vogue Certificate program where we had to make a bag of our own design. We were given parameters of having to use a striped fabric, and calculate the cost to make the bag. Through this experience I have learned many new things about sewing, like how to break a needle. :) While I didn't enjoy the tip flying out at me, I grew from the experience and hopefully will never put that much stress on my machine again. In the end the bag was modified from the mock up, to compensate for the striped fabric, and construction of the bag. In the future I will recreate this bucket bag and (hopefully) get better at making it. This bag would do great as a pool side bag or for movie theater snacks.
