Finding Your Sizing

If you're like me, finding the right size for your shape can be hazardous to your lifespan. Think about how long it takes you to find the perfect cut and/or length of jeans. That alone could take 45 minutes of looking through endless shelves of Levis and Lucky Brand. This isn't just limited to jeans, online shopping may seem quick, but when you get your item that doesn't fit, it either goes in a pile you only hope to fit into, or shipped back taking way more than the intended amount of time Furthermore the amount of effort one might put in for a special occasion gown can be pricey. Alterations can take days, and multiple fittings just to pin your right size. However if you know certain secrets, then finding your perfect fit will be a breeze. Most people already know what to get as far as small, medium, or large, but did you know that not every medium will fit like a glove, and some larges may appear to be smalls! I investigated this path, and on my journey through the mall I found, out of six pieces of clothing, only two fit! The tags may have said medium, but the size was deceptive. Therefore its best to try on everything before you buy it. In addition, manufactures typically have a 1/2 inch tolerance. Meaning, the factory workers have 1/2 inch space to mess up on the stitching, and 1/2 inch of room that gives more room or less. Upon finding a dress that fit me, I found that not every medium of that dress fit the same. In some the arms holes were too constricting or the waist band was useless and stretched out elastic. In all finding your perfect size is difficult but not unattainable, it just takes hard work the first time, so that you don't pay for it later.
